The Spartan Classic kicks off this Saturday, October 7th at noon. The first band in Prelims will step off at 12:15p. Eight of the 17 competing bands will make it to the Finals competition that starts at 7p Saturday evening.

The Mustang Band took top honors in Class 3A for the Prelims competition at the South Caldwell Spartan Classic on October 7, 2006. The band also had the 2nd highest score in Prelims as well as winning many of the caption awards for their class, including the highlight of the highest Drum Major score all day long!

Special mention and congratulations to the Pit Crew (Yay Toters!) for winning the award for Best Pit Crew for the Prelims competition!!

In the evening Finals competition, the Showband placed 4th out of eight bands as they put on one of their best shows all year long. The 4th place finish capped off the 16-hour day including the long bus trips to and from South Caldwell, but the students took home a wealth of experience and should be well prepared for their next competition!
